Drummer Dream Theater Bermain Untuk The Rev

Kemarin Avenged Sevenfold mengeluarkan statement :

"Kami ingin fans kami tahu bahwa dengan Jimmy selalu ada di dalam hati kami, perjalanan kami untuk rekaman resmi segera dimulai. Jimmy meninggalkan dunia ini dengan memberikan hadiah yang mengagumkan dan sekarang sudah menjadi tugas kami untuk memastikan hadiah itu untuk untuk sampai kepada para fans kami.

Untuk menyelesaikan album baru mereka tersebut, A7X ini merekrut drummer Dream Theater, Mike Portnoy, drummer favorit Jimmy Sullivan seperti yang disebutkan di atas.

Sublime With Rome

Sublime was an American reggae fusion band from Long Beach, California, formed in 1988.[1] The band's original line-up consisted of Bradley Nowell (vocals and guitar), Bud Gaugh (drums and percussion), and Eric Wilson (bass guitar). Lou Dog, Nowell's dalmatian, was the mascot of the band. Nowell died of a heroin overdose in 1996 and Sublime immediately split up.[2] In 2009, the surviving members decided to reform the band with a new lead singer and guitarist Rome Ramirez.[3] However, weeks after performing at Cypress Hill's Smokeout Festival, a Los Angeles judge banned the new lineup from using the Sublime name. Finally in January 2010, the lawsuit was settled and the new lineup is now active as Sublime with Rome.

To date, Sublime has released three studio albums, one live album, five compilation albums, three EPs and one box set. The band released its debut album 40 Oz. to Freedom in 1992. Although the album was quite popular in the United States, Sublime would not experience commercial success until 1996 with their self-titled third album, released shortly after Nowell's death, which peaked at number 13 on the Billboard 200, and spawned the single "What I Got", which remains the band's only number one hit single (on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart) in their musical career. As of 2009, Sublime has sold over 17 million albums worldwide,[4] including about 10 million in the U.S. alone.

Dalam album solo yang sedang Travis garap ia akan menambahkan musikus-musikus yang terkenal.

Drummer Blink-182 baru-baru ini mengumumkan Slipknot's Corey Taylor juga akan tampil di rekamannya mendatang.

Bersama dengan vokalis Slipknot dan Stone Sour, Barker juga akan bekerja dengan sejumlah artis rapper seperti Lil Wayne, RZA dan The Game di album solonya yang pertama ini.

"Aku suka musik, jadi dengan album saya ini bukan hanya satu genre," kata Barker.

"Isinya akan beragam dari punk rock ke hip-hop, dari hiphop sampai elektro hal, dari sana sampai metal bersama Corey Taylor dari Slipknot. It's been benar-benar menyenangkan dan menarik up sampai sekarang."

Dalam berita lain, Barker telah memberikan petunjuk tentang rencana Blink-182 untuk 2010. Kata Barker Blink 182 akan pergi ke Eropa pada bulan Agustus untuk bermain festival dan sangat mungkin untuk bermain di Reading And Leeds festivals.

Blink 182 yang sudah dijadwalkan untuk dua festival musik di Jerman bulan 21 Agustus di Area 4 dan Highfield pada 22 Agustus.

MegaDeth Biography

Megadeth After he left Metallica in 1983, guitarist/vocalist Dave Mustaine formed the thrash metal quartet Megadeth. Though Megadeth followed the basic blueprint of Metallica's relentless attack, Mustaine's group distinguished themselves from his earlier band by lessening the progressive rock influences, adding an emphasis on instrumental skills, speeding the tempo up slightly, and making the instrumental attack harsher. By streamlining the classic thrash metal approach and making the music more threatening, as well as making the lyrics more nihilistic, Megadeth became one of the leading bands of the genre during the mid-'80s and late '80s. Each album they released went at least gold, and they continually sold out arenas across America, in addition to developing a strong following overseas. By the early '90s, they had toned their music down slightly, yet that simply increased their following; all of their proper '90s albums debuted in the Top Ten.

Throughout Megadeth's many lineup changes, the two core members were bassist Dave Ellefson and guitarist/vocalist Dave Mustaine (b. September 13, 1961), who was the band's official leader. Mustaine grew up in the suburbs of Southern California, where he was raised by his mother in a broken home; frequently, his mother left him to be raised by aunts and uncles, who never encouraged his musical inclinations and often belittled him for his fondness for heavy metal. In 1981, he formed Metallica with James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. Mustaine spent two years with Metallica, developing a strong cult following in California's underground metal scene, before he was kicked out of the group in 1983, allegedly over his substance abuse. Immediately following his firing, he formed Megadeth with Ellefson, Slayer guitarist Kerry King, and drummer Lee Rauch. This lineup was extremely short-lived, and Mustaine and Ellefson soon recruited guitarist Chris Poland and drummer Gar Samuelson.

For the next few years, Megadeth toured and gained a following, signing with the independent label Combat in late 1984. The following year, the group released their debut, Killing Is My Business...And Business Is Good!, which received strong reviews, not only in metal-oriented publications, but also in mainstream music magazines. The album sold very well for an independent release, which attracted the attention of major record labels. By the end of the year, the group had signed with Capitol. Megadeth's first major-label album, Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?, was released in the fall of 1986. Like its predecessor, Peace Sells was greeted by strong reviews and sales; it eventually went platinum.

Although the band's fortunes were on the upswing, Mustaine was beginning to sink deeper into drug abuse, specifically heroin. Soon, his addictions began to affect his work. Many stories concerning his erratic behavior were circulating within the metal community, and they seemed to be proven correct when he fired both Poland and Samuelson before the recording of the band's third album; they were replaced by Jeff Young and Chuck Behler, respectively. The new lineup debuted on So Far, So Good...So What!, released early in 1988. So Far, So Good peaked at number 28 on the charts and also eventually went platinum (despite less enthusiastic reviews); it also featured a notorious cover of the Sex Pistols' "Anarchy in the UK," with incorrect lyrics.

In the years immediately following the release of So Far, So Good...So What!, Mustaine was impaired by his drug addictions. In early 1990, he was arrested for driving under the influence and entered a rehabilitation program. By the end of the year, he was not only sober, but he had reconvened the band; firing Young and Behler and replacing them with guitarist Marty Friedman and drummer Nick Menza. This lineup recorded Megadeth's fourth and most progressive album, Rust in Peace. The record peaked at number 23 on the American charts and went platinum. 1991 saw Metallica break through to the mainstream, and sensing the possibility for similar success, Mustaine followed suit in stripping down the band's sound, though it remained as technically perfectionistic as Rust in Peace. The result, Countdown to Extinction, was released in 1992, entering the charts at number two; the record went double-platinum and became the band's biggest hit, confirming that they had retained their audience in the wake of grunge. Now one of the most popular metal bands in the world, Megadeth moved farther toward the mainstream with Youthanasia in 1994, which entered the charts at number four and, like its predecessor, went platinum. The following year, the group released Hidden Treasures, a rarities collection which featured some of the soundtrack tunes that had helped expand the group's MTV audience in the early '90s. 1997's Cryptic Writings found Megadeth fully embraced by album rock radio, which formerly would never have touched the band. Ex-Suicidal Tendencies drummer Jimmy DeGrasso signed on in 1998, in time for the following year's Risk. In 2000, following the release of the best-of Capitol Punishment, Marty Friedman followed Nick Menza out the door; he was replaced by former Savatage and Alice Cooper guitarist Al Pitrelli. After signing with the BMG subsidiary Sanctuary, Megadeth debuted its new lineup on 2001's The World Needs a Hero.

While on break from touring, Dave Mustaine suffered a serious injury in January 2002 while staying in Texas. He was diagnosed with having radial neuropathy shortly thereafter, a condition that prevented him from playing guitar. The compressed radial nerves in his left arm and hand were strained, leaving Megadeth little recourse but to disband in April 2002, after almost 20 years in the music industry.

Sejarah Sum 41

Sum 41 adalah band yang berasal dari Ajax, Ontario, Kanada. Awalnya Sum 41 dibentuk oleh Deryck Whibley (vokal, gitar) dan Steve Jocz (drum) yang merupakan teman semasa SMA. Nama Sum 41 dipilih karena band ini dibentuk 41 hari sebelum musim panas (summer). Anggota ketiga yang masuk adalah Dave Baksh (gitar), dan yang terakhir adalah Jason McCaslin (bass) pada tahun 1999 setelah sempat berganti-ganti pemain bass. Mereka merilis album pertama mereka pada tahun 2000 yang berjudul Half Hour of Power di bawah label Island Record.
SejarahManajer pertama mereka adalah Greig Nori, vokalis Treble Charger. Deryck meminta Greig Nori untuk menjadi manajer Sum 41. Greig Nori berpendapat bahwa Deryck adalah seorang anak yang sangat berambisi menjadi bintang rock. Sebagian besar lagu Sum 41 ditulis oleh Deryck, beberapa ditulis oleh Stevo, lagu-lagu yang ditulis Stevo seperti Pain for Pleasure (All Killer No Filler) dan Ma Poubelle (Underclass Hero) biasanya adalah hanya untuk lelucon. Stevo pernah berkata di Exposed, Much Music, tanpa Deryck kita hanya band yang memainkan lagu orang lain.
Pada tahun 2004, Sum 41 mengunjungi Republik Demokratik Kongo di mana terjadi perang saudara yg merupakan inspirasi album keempat mereka, Chuck. Nama Chuck didapat dari Chuck Pelletier, seorang A.U.N yang menyelamatkan hidup mereka ketika mereka di Kongo. Pada 12 Oktober album Chuck dirilis dengan suara yang lebih keras dan tidak ada humor lagi di dalamnya. Single pertamanya "We're All To Blame" yang lebih terdengar metal daripada punk diikuti "Pieces" lagu tenang yang masuk Top Chart di Kanada dan "Some Say" singel yg hanya dirilis di Kanada bersamaan dengan "No Reason" yg videonya hanya ada di US dan Eropa.
Pada bulan Juli tahun 2006, Deryck menikah dengan Avril Lavigne, yang sudah bertunangan satu tahun sebelumnya. Sebelumnya pada tahun yang sama, gitaris Sum 41, Dave mengundurkan diri dari Sum 41. Alasannya adalah karena Dave merasa sudah tidak cocok lagi dengan musik Sum 41. Deryck pernah mengungkapkan bahwa Dave sebenarnya sudah tidak tertarik lagi dengan aliran musik Sum 41 sejak album Does This Look Infected?. Dan akhirnya setelah mendengarkan contoh lagu di album Underclass Hero, Dave memutuskan untuk mengundurkan diri dan membuat band metal yang bernama Brown Brigade.
Cone pun juga mempunyai side-project band yang bernama The Operation M.D. dan beraliran Rock-Garage-Alternative. Cone berdua dengan Todd Morse (H2O, Juliette & The Licks) memang menginkan tidak banyak distorsi di band ini. Band yang berkonsep dokter ini mengeluarkan albumnya pada bulan Februari 2007 yang berjudul "We Have an Emergency" dan hanya dijual di Kanada. Ciri khas The Operation M.D. adalah kacamata bermotif caturnya yang dipakai masing-masing personil yaitu Dr. Dynamite (Cone) dan Dr. Rocco (Todd).
Album kelima mereka keluar tanggal 24 Juli 2007 yang berjudul Underclass Hero. Di album ini mereka kembali ke aliran asal mereka. Mereka mengakui mereka sangat bersemangat dalam pembuatan album ini. Albumnya pun lebih kaya akan suara dan liriknya pun lebih bagus. Dalam tur Underclass Hero, posisi Dave akan digantikan dengan Tom Thacker yaitu vokalis dan gitaris dari grup band Gob. Saking semangatnya, mereka selalu bilang kalau mereka akan tur kemana-mana.
